In December of 1999, a Vaudreuillois biologist, Albert Picanais, travelled to Switzerland to climb Mount Eiger, also known as the “Wall of Death.” After 4 days of climbing, he was surprised by an avalanche and got stuck under a pile of flint, including a sharp piece that punctured his back. Albert was found by a rescue team on the brink of death. As they dislodged him, they had no choice but to cut the stone in his back when a small stone from the wall of death ended up piercing his spinal marrow.

For several days, he was in a coma and upon waking up, he was told that he could never walk again due to the piece of flint stuck in his marrow. When the biologist returned home, he undertook a series of experiments to pulverize the small stone to hopefully regain the use of his legs.

Two weeks ago, after 20 years of research, the biologist finally found a formula. What he had not foreseen was that the stone lodged in his body had unknown properties and during its pulverization, it altered the scientist’s DNA. Mr. Picanais therefore underwent a slow but irreversible mutation. His skin now has the appearance and hardness of rock. He has acquired various powers, including incredible strength that he can’t yet control and has not stopped growing…

Your mission will be to coax Mr. Picanais, now known as Alpius. You must befriend him, teach him to control his strength and convince him to join the Multimus Special Forces.

Climbing is an enjoyable winter activity to do with family, friends, or even alone—it is extraordinary. It allows you to burn a lot of energy and to experience thrilling sensations. It’s also a great way to have some family fun. This sport develops psychomotricity in children and allows them to acquire notions of movement in space while having fun. (Coordination, reaction speed, concentration, self-confidence…)

A Reckless Yet Safe Sport

Climbing is a sport that will be thrilling while being very safe. At the Centre Multisports, all instructiors are certified, and are also climbing enthusiasts. They know the equipment inside-out. They are available to give you tips and tricks so you can have fun and get better. Lastly, we are equipped with a self-insurance system, which ensures a safe and comfortable descent.

It is also possible to try a different form of climbing—in addition to the climbing wall, we have a boulder.

A boulder is of lower height than a climbing wall. Therefore, it is not necessary to wear the entire equipment. It is often used to practise difficult movements and develop endurance.
