On January 19, 20 and 21, Vaudreuil-Dorion’s Jonathan Hinse, a member of Club ALLIANCE (formerly ZVP Opto-Réseau), represented Canada at the most important international track meeting (after the world championships) in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
The world’s best juniors were present, and King Jo put in some excellent performances:
During the races, Jo had to find solutions to adapt to the Apeldoorn track. Unlike athletics or speed skating, where all tracks are the same, cycling tracks vary in length and width, with shorter or longer straights, more or less tight curves. Accustomed to the Bromont vélodrome track, Jo quickly had to find his bearings on this ring.
Next up for Jonathan are the Provincial Championships at the end of February and the Canadian Championships at the end of March. Both events will be held at Bromont’s Sylvan Adams Vélodrome. At the Provincial Championships, other Club ALLIANCE members will also be at the starting line.
