On March 28, a bouldering competition will take place at Centre Multisports as part of the 11th season of the Coupe Québec Escalade. This year marks a milestone for the Centre, as a group of climbers aged 8 to 14 will form the facility’s first unofficial climbing team and represent it at the event. This initiative paves the way for the future Climbing Club at Centre Multisports, set to launch next fall.
To prepare for the competition, these young climbers—who are all current students in Centre Multisports' climbing classes—are following a 7-week training program. Led by certified instructors Alexandre Pharand and Alexandre Lauzon, the group meets once a week for 75-minute sessions.
If your child is interested in starting or improving their climbing skills, the Centre offers small-group classes for kids aged 4 to 13. For more details about climbing courses, [click here]. Don’t miss the registration day on Saturday, March 7, where you'll enjoy a 15% discount on registration fees!
