Sport-Study at the Centre Multisports: A Winning Formula for Academic and Athletic Success
A program designed for today’s young athletes
At the Centre Multisports, sport and academics form a winning duo. Thanks to its partnership with École secondaire de la Cité-des-Jeunes, the Centre offers a one-of-a-kind Sport-Study program designed to support youth aged 12 to 17 in their physical, academic, and personal development.
This program allows student-athletes to train during the day under optimal conditions, while staying on track with their academic journey. The goal: to provide youth with the opportunity to thrive fully, without having to choose between passion and success.
A Structured Framework for Real Progress
Sport-Study isn’t simply more hours of physical activity. It’s a rigorous and stimulating environment where every aspect of performance is considered: physical preparation, technical development, tactics, mental training, recovery, and nutrition.
Training sessions take place Monday to Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., allowing students to keep their evenings free for studying, relaxation, and family life. This format promotes better balance and reduces the stress often associated with an overload of evening activities.
A Variety of Disciplines to Foster Every Talent
We welcome students in several sports disciplines. Each sport is supervised by professionals with solid field experience and a human-centered approach focused on individual progress.
Disciplines offered in 2025–2026:
-
Cycling sports and triathlon (road cycling, mountain biking, BMX, triathlon)
-
Climbing
-
Athletics (fully managed by Centre Multisports)
Each young person is paired with a sports club and benefits from an evolving training plan tailored to their level and goals.
Athletics Under the Direction of the Centre: A Strategic Shift
For the 2025–2026 season, the athletics sport-study program is entirely managed by the Centre Multisports. This leadership reinforces the Centre’s role in developing the next generation and ensures young athletes receive personalized support.
In athletics, as in other disciplines, youth benefit from personalized coaching, rigorous follow-up, and a motivating environment to achieve their goals.
An Unmatched Training Environment
Centre Multisports offers a professional-level training setting with modern, diverse facilities, including:
-
A 200-meter indoor athletics track
-
Two specialized gyms equipped with connected machines, lifting zones, and synthetic turf
-
The Perfo Cycling Zone with smart training equipment
-
Adapted multisport spaces
-
Evaluation tools such as the Fit3D scan
In this optimal environment, youth can push their limits safely.
A Multidisciplinary Team to Support Each Athlete
The Centre’s Sport-Study program is built on a human, competent, and motivating support structure, with top-level professionals in each field:
-
Natacha Poot Viger, kinesiologist, is responsible for physical preparation and general athlete supervision. She ensures that training sessions are adapted to each discipline while providing structured, evolving follow-up.
-
Specialized coaches for each sport
-
Sports nutritionist to guide youth in their eating habits
-
Sports psychologist to support mental performance and stress management
Everything is in place to foster holistic, sustainable, and healthy development.
Guided Accessibility
Each discipline may have its own admission criteria. For example, in cycling, the athlete must be affiliated with the FQSC and have participated in at least five provincial events. However, some youth not yet recognized by their federation may be admitted based on evaluation by the school and the Centre.
To be eligible, the student must be enrolled in a school officially offering a sport-study or sport-concentration program.
Registration fees vary by discipline, and several payment options are available. The Centre also offers bike rentals for youth who do not own one.
For Youth and Their Families: A Meaningful Choice
The Centre Multisports Sport-Study program is an investment in health, commitment, and success. It’s a concrete way to offer young people an environment where they can thrive, grow, and believe in their potential.
Whether they aim for the highest levels of competition or simply want to grow in a structured environment, youth leave this program with skills, habits, and confidence that will serve them for life.
