Founded in 2015 and affiliated with Judo Québec, the Judo Club at the Centre Multisports is dedicated to promoting this martial art to as many people as possible—whether they’re looking for a community-based activity or a competitive outlet.

What can judo do for me?

Judo develops flexibility, speed, anticipation, agility, strength, and coordination. It engages most muscles and joints while fostering self-control, concentration, and respect—for partners, opponents, rules, and referees alike. It also nurtures a strong sense of community and helps introverted children express themselves and grow in confidence.

Additionally, weight categories can benefit children who struggle with body image by placing them among peers with similar builds, allowing them to gain self-esteem and express themselves physically in a safe, respectful environment.

What don’t people know about judo?

Judo is a noble sport rooted in the purest traditions of chivalry. It has been an Olympic sport since 1964 (excluding the 1968 games in Mexico).

Our most memorable moment

Seeing a judoka take pride in their achievements throughout the season—and witnessing the surprise on their face as they realize how far they’ve come.

What are our hopes for the coming season?

Happy students who are proud of the new skills they’ve learned—and the chance to help them fall in love with judo.
