Transfor'Mur Competition: A successful first edition

On Saturday, April 19, the André-Chagnon Multisports Centre in Vaudreuil-Dorion was buzzing with the rhythm of the Transfor'Mur climbing competition. This first edition, dedicated to surpassing oneself and a friendly atmosphere, brought together 21 enthusiastic climbers ready to challenge the heights of a wall with futuristic accents.

Determined climbers and a high-energy atmosphere

Divided into two distinct categories, participants ranging in age from 9 to adults demonstrated agility, endurance, and ingenuity throughout the day. In the younger category (9 to 13 years old), Hugo Gélinas shone, taking first place, followed closely by Marianna Nadeau in second place and Charlotte Miller in third.

In the 14 and over category, Cédric Vigneault stood out and won the title with an impressive performance. Victor Letendre took second place, while Louis Deschênes proudly rounded out the podium.

A powerful testament to the progress made

For many, this friendly competition represented the culmination of a season of dedicated training. The dynamic between the participants, the enthusiastic encouragement from the spectators, and the friendly atmosphere transformed the day into a true climbing celebration.

"Seeing these young athletes and adults climbing with such determination is exactly the spirit we want to foster at the Multisports Center. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their progress," emphasized Maxime Deslauriers, climbing wall manager at the Center.

"The climbing staff did an incredible job developing the routes and organizing everything," he added.

An annual event not to be missed

Building on its success, Transfor'Mur promises to become a must-see for the local climbing community. "We look forward to seeing even more of you next year for a second edition that already promises to be exciting," concludes the André-Chagnon Multisports Centre team.

Congratulations to all participants and a big thank you to those who came to support the climbers!
