The Desjardins Multisports Caravan of Vaudreuil-Soulanges

This summer, the Centre Multisports hit the road with the Desjardins Multisports Caravan of Vaudreuil-Soulanges, visiting communities across the region. As part of the Horizon 2035: A Generation in Motion initiative, the Caravan was created to raise awareness among all citizens about the importance of physical activity.

The Caravan aligns with the Centre’s core mission: helping the entire Vaudreuil-Soulanges community adopt healthier lifestyles through regular physical activity.

Thanks to financial support from the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Local Action Committee, the Caravan visited 16 day camps across the region and got over 1,620 kids moving. Our animation team led dynamic and playful activities such as Tchoukball, Ultimate Quidditchm, Ki-O-Rahi, and Junior Fitness.

The Caravan — towed by a vehicle loaned by Avantage Ford of L’Île-Perrot — also took part in numerous cultural events and municipal celebrations. With a fun and energetic vibe, qualified instructors and kinesiologists from the Centre Multisports led fitness, Zumba, and yoga sessions for parents and children alike. Some events also featured a bounce house for families, thanks to our partner Airbounce.

VIVA Média, as media partner, helped spotlight all aspects of the Horizon 2035: A Generation in Motion program.

The Desjardins Caisse of Vaudreuil-Soulanges was a key financial partner in this 2015 tour, supporting its wide regional reach and its mission of encouraging healthy lifestyle habits. The Caisse’s involvement enabled the Centre’s team to acquire equipment and deliver impactful activities that inspired better movement and improved quality of life for everyone. The growing number of health-focused events in Vaudreuil-Soulanges is a reassuring sign — not only increasing life expectancy, but ensuring that residents age in better health by significantly reducing sedentary risks.
