3 to 4 servings — Preparation time: 5 minutes — Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 1 lb package extra firm tofu (I love “unisoya” for its firmness)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp finely chopped garlic (or about 3-4 cloves of garlic)
  • 3 tbsp light Caesar dressing
  • 2 tsp chicken broth concentrate (or vegetable broth)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp granulated garlic (or garlic salt)
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • A pinch of crushed chili peppers

Steps

Blot the tofu in a clean, dry cloth to remove excess water, then roughly break it up with your fingers. Set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-low heat and brown the garlic for 1 to 2 minutes, making sure it doesn’t burn.

Add the tofu and the rest of the ingredients, stirring well with a wooden spoon. Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently, or until the tofu is golden brown. Adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add the tofu to your sandwiches, wraps, salads or any other recipes where you would normally cook chicken. Enjoy!
