Introduction to Yoga
Explore the fundamentals of yoga at your own pace, in a welcoming space led by caring, passionate instructors.
A lifelong learner and movement enthusiast, Maria Restrepo began practicing yoga as a way to challenge herself. Over time, the practice became a path to reconnecting with her strength, voice, and purpose.
To Maria, yoga is an individual exploration—an experience where breath and movement merge to create balance between the body, mind, and heart. Her approach encourages conscious movement, building strength and mobility while respecting personal limits.
With over 1900 hours of training in Hatha, Ashtanga, therapeutic yoga and Yoga Tune Up, Maria focuses on form, posture and muscular engagement. Her goal is to help students move safely, avoid injury, and reconnect with themselves through mindful practice.
I’m inspired by the human body and its ability to move with purpose. Exploring how to stay strong and mobile—without injury—is at the heart of my practice.
"True compassion is not just an emotional response but a firm commitment based on reason. Therefore, our compassion for others does not change even if they behave negatively. Our sense of responsibility fuels the desire to help others actively overcome their problems." – Dalai Lama
